Annette Bellamy

My artwork reflects my life experiences.  I have commercially fished in Alaska for many years, gill netting and seining for salmon and long lining for halibut.  My life on the water and my life making art fuel each other.  I value the physicality of both and the dependence upon my hands.    I strive to craft art that can be translated in a universal visual language.

I have had numerous solo exhibits in Alaska and multiple group and solo exhibits across the country.  My work is in the art collection of the Anchorage Museum, Alaska State Museum, Pratt Museum, Fuller Craft Museum, Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation and many private collections.
